These terms regulate the submission of works to CALATHEA experimenta through the site’s demo form. By submitting your material, you accept these conditions in full.

1. Purpose of the call

CALATHEA experimenta is an independent digital record label, directed by Franco Falistoco from Argentina since 2022, dedicated to the dissemination of experimental sound works. Demo reception remains open to discover new work.

Submission is free and requires no intermediaries.

2. Works we receive

We receive works framed in these axes, in order of editorial priority: radio art, experimental electronics and derivatives, soundscape, sound art, noise, electroacoustics and contemporary music. We value works with a transmitting, reflective and regenerating aesthetic approach to experiences and emotions.

3. Submission conditions

  • Submission is free and is made exclusively through the online form.
  • Format: links to private listening platforms (private SoundCloud, private
Bandcamp, private YouTube, private Drive). We do not accept attachments or
    direct downloads.
  • One project per submission. Separate projects require separate submissions.
  • Required data: project name, responsible person, contact email, genres,
short bio (max. 400 characters) and listening links.

4. Evaluation and response time

  • Every submission is listened to in full by the label’s A&R direction. No automatic filters, no algorithmic pre-selection, no discards by metadata.
  • The estimated response time is 2 to 4 weeks from reception, to the email provided in the form.
  • The evaluation is not a judgment on the overall quality of your work: it is a reading of the fit between your work and the current moment of our catalogue.
  • We do not provide detailed feedback on works that are not selected.

5. Confidentiality and data retention

  • Received material is treated as confidential. It is not shared with third parties outside the A&R team.
  • We keep the contact and the submission metadata for 12 months, under the terms accepted at submission.

6. Rights and publication agreement

  • The artist retains authorship and ownership of the original work at all times.
  • The standard agreement runs 4 to 5 years with automatic renewal for the same period or double, as adjusted case by case.
  • The master copy of the work mastered by CALATHEA experimenta remains in the label’s custody as part of the production work. Works mastered elsewhere from the artist’s originals are not subject to this custody.
  • Every work released on the label is co-constructed between artist and A&R direction.

7. Good submission practices

  • Send private links, never attachments.
  • One project per submission.
  • Do not re-send the same material before the response window closes.
  • Keep your ticket (CAL-XXXXXX) for any query.

8. Acceptance

By checking the acceptance box in the form, you accept these conditions, the confidentiality policy and the good submission practices of the label.
